friends only. i'm not really looking to add anyone else right now; it's nothing personal.

Ok. So I just talked to my ex boyfriend, Sid, for the first time in three months. I think I'm meeting him for either coffee or dinner tomorrow. Shit.

Background for my new flisters. Sid and I dated for 2 years and a month. How we broke up is rather embarassing since it was in a rather intimate setting, but let's just say that I said no one night and he kind of went crazy with all the, "you never loved me" crap. SO...we broke up. Rather messily. He later told me over the internet (of all places...) that he couldn't believe he ever loved me and that he never wanted to see me again and to have a nice life, bye. I sent him a text message the next week saying "I don't deserve to be hated" and he replied with "I know let's be friends. Call me." WTF?!

So I wrote him a letter last night and put it in his mailbox today during break since he's on spring break. He got it and called me just now. Said he doesn't think we need the letters. But I still felt something when I heard his voice. It took a lot to break habit and not say "I love you" when we ended the call. He wants to see me before he goes back to school on Sunday. What the hell am I doing.

the mother and i are leaving to go to orange county today for the best of the west tournament. this means, sadly, that i won't be able to go to a bookstore at midnight and be a harry potter nerd as our first game is at 9 AM. we're flying down at 2, but baseball/softball bats aren't allowed as carry on (and we don't want to check any bags, as we're only staying one night), so i have to go meet the coach, paul, and bring him my equipment (because he's driving down).
